Riot House

The Hyatt House on Sunset — nicknamed Riot House by the musicians and road crews who more or less took it over in the 1970s — is one of the Strip's most notorious addresses. Led Zeppelin rode motorcycles down its halls. It was less a hotel than a rock and roll fable with room service.

The archival photograph above — shown as Hotel Continental, 1967–1975 — hangs on display at the hotel today. It's one of the real places Anat filmed on location while researching the novel; the short film below was shot there.
