Anat Schwartz Friedman

Anat has spent most of her life moving between things that don't usually share a résumé — acting, songwriting, performing, flying. She holds a master's degree in law. She was an inflight service manager at El Al. She lived in Los Angeles, then London, then Amsterdam, then Bangkok, before coming back to Israel and building a life that still runs between airplanes, stages, and pages.

She writes, composes, and performs her own music, and has written for other artists — including the hit “Ta'ahavi Ktzat Et Atzmech” (“Love Yourself a Little”) for singer Shiri Maimon. She's married, and the mother of three.

Looking for Joni Mitchell is her debut novel — now in its second printing. It came out of every one of those detours.
